Lebowsky Center for Performing arts offers so much more than entertainment. With the support of the Cook Family Foundation, Lebwosky Center for Performing Arts brings high-quality performing arts education to the greater Shiawassee region.
We believe immersion in the arts fosters confidence, promotes creative problem-solving skills and reinforces a healthy self-image.
With Stages, our year-round performing arts education program, Lebowsky Center for Performing arts aims to engage students of all ages in all aspects of the performing arts.
Meet Our Professionals
Mark retired from East Lansing High School where he was Director of Theater and an English teacher. Most recently, he has taught arts integration and children’s literature classes at Baker College. Mark has been in four OCP productions including Calendar Girls and The Full Monty. He is currently the education coordinator for OCP and is excited about the possibilities this position holds. Mark will be teaching acting this Fall for high school students.
Erica Duffield is a professional dance instructor and choreographer. After traveling the world performing on cruise ships, Duffield now teaches dance and serves as a frequent choreographer for OCP.
Lyn joined OCP in 1991 and quickly became involved by appearing, producing and directing shows.
She started the Youth Summer Workshop Program in 1998, directing three shows over the next 5 years for youth. She also directed regular season shows for OCP including; Lend me a Tenor, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Fiddler on the Roof, Ghost, Legally Blonde and plays like; I hate Hamlet, The Boys Next Door, The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds, Father of the Bride and most recently Leading Ladies. She has served on the production committee for several years.
Rachael Cupples attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC as a Musical Theater Major, and is now a Secondary Education/English Major at SVSU. She performs in, choreographs, and designs lighting for community theater and high school productions around central Michigan. Regional credits include Brigadoon (Meg) and Crazy For You (Tess) at the Encore Musical Theatre Company. Other previous roles include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Legally Blonde (Enid Hoopes), 9 to 5 (Roz Keith).
