It has been over six months since COVID-19 lowered the curtain at the Lebowsky Center for Performing Arts, and our live performances and educational programs had to be cancelled or postponed. After decades of uninterrupted programming in service to our community and the greater Shiawassee region, we now find ourselves in an unprecedented time with an urgent need.
The Lebowsky Center for Performing Arts is not only a place for artists and performers to share their talents, it is a driving economic force for the community we serve. We are committed to the promise we made to be here to serve as a pillar in our community for decades more to come
Since March 13, we have been unable to do what we do best: educate, entertain and enrich lives through live performing arts experiences. While we have taken every step to decrease expenses, without ticket sales we must find unique ways to meet our immediate operational and financial obligations.
That is why we have launched a campaign to raise $100,000 to help bridge this unforeseen gap in our programming. We are asking members of our great community to commit to a gift of $100/month for a year, or a one-time commitment of $1,200.
We eagerly anticipate our return to the stage with exciting new shows. And even though we cannot predict exactly when that will be, we can predict that our performances will be entertaining, inspiring, and uplifting as we move beyond the pandemic.
Thank you for your loyalty and support.
THE CURTAIN WILL RISE AGAIN!
